I was always active when I was younger and would happily participate in sports and challenge myself. With the support of family I joined competitive swimming when I was 8 years old. I competed across Ontario over the years and was able to achieve Top 5 in Canada when I was 15 years old for 200 meter butterfly. I became passionate about health and the human body from the discipline I experienced in swimming. I then completed my degree in Kinesiology and Health Science (BSc) . I knew I wanted to be able to work one-on-one with people and provide some form of therapy or treatment. I was very interested in the philosophy of osteopathy and how it involved hands-on techniques, was holistic and treated the whole body as a unit. I then proceeded to study osteopathy and got my Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP). Once I started working I realised the value of stretching that I practised during my swimming career and began to incorporate it in my osteopathic treatments. I worked as a manual osteopath in Toronto and the GTA for a few years then was delighted to be voted Top 10 Osteopaths in Toronto in 2021 at Flxme Stretch Studio. I then wanted to add more soft tissue therapy in my work so I went on to study massage therapy and became a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). I went on to obtain my Personal Trainer certificate to better educate my clients on exercise. I also completed multiple courses on stretch therapy including fascial stretch therapy and micro-stretching. My years of experience, education and sport participation evolved me into a multifaceted therapist.

My osteopathy treatment contains traditional osteopathic techniques, but with a twist. My focus is to restore better movement in the body which can be directly achieved through guided and purposeful stretching, a method not commonly used in standard therapy sessions . I include various techniques like joint mobilization, tractioning and massage with fascial stretch therapy. An important initial step in someone's rehab is to start moving well before moving on to other complex exercises. My goal when treating is to regain flexibility, fix misalignment and get you to move comfortably on your own. My treatment is also consists of maintenance work for chronic conditions. This is where I help lubricate the joints and release muscle tightness while you continue your daily routines and exercises. I now provide a complimentary style of therapy that can include a combination of techniques.
I acknowledge how every patient is different in how they respond to treatment. I am confident in my ability to apply different techniques to each person's condition so we can meet their health goals.
So lay on the table, relax and I can help you move easier and feel better!
